About Me

Hi My name is Amanda Contrino and I’ve been honing my craft behind the chair for over 20 years. I was drawn to the industry because I wanted to create relationships with individuals to align their inner beauty with the outside. I approach hairstyling as an art form. My work is precision based complimented by freeform technique. I am a student of fashion and trends and I embrace the challenge of interpreting how these trends work for each individual guest. I am honored to collaborate with my guests to create styles that work naturally with respect to head shape, facial structure, hair texture and condition and lifestyle.I am dedicated to using the cleanest organic products possible to maintain the integrity of my guests hair and health and leave the least environmental impact.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I began my career with a two year apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon, where I learned the foundational techniques of precision haircutting honoring face shape and natural hair texture in determining style.

From the early 2000’s when I launched my career my work has evolved through constant advanced hands on workshops nationally and internationally and artistic inspiration. Over the years through constant practice, experimentation, and collaborative creation with my clients I have developed an approach to crafting hair that feels unique to me and my guests.
